Howdy, I am researching Wm P Chambers born in North Carolina about 1806. He came to Fayette County TN in the 1830’s, as a farmer and slaveowner. It appears he lost everything including his life in the 1860’s. His Wife Jemima, daughter and Son in Law Jim F. Cox came to east Texas and settled where we still have a small farm.

I'm a direct descendent Colonel David Reynolds Chambers (b.1720) of Trenton, New Jersey and of Robert Chambers (b.1635) and Marioun Cloggy (b.1620) of Firth of Forth Rivers, Stirling, Scotland.

My 3rd g-grandmother was Rachel Chambers b:1756 in Chambersburg PA and married my 3rd g-grandfather, Peter Troxell (m:1786) in Frederick MD and then they moved to Augusta County Va. I suspect she was the daughter of Benjamin Chambers.

I was offline from August 4 to 29, with this visit to Chambers Family Ancestry, I see you have gone on facebook. I am still trying to get all the information I can on the four older children of Charles Brownlow Chambers as his first family, but I do welcome anything I can learn about any of the twelve children of his last family. Find a Grave is a great help in this search, so I hope facebook will be a great help as well.
